REPOSITORY, A NEW POPULATION OF ENDANGERED-WASP BEETLE SPANISH.

Last July, was discovered in the vicinity of the stream Humanejos (Parla), a new population of the endangered beetle-bee English (Neoplagionotus Marcao) , to examine several examples of its food plant, marshmallow crazy (Lavatera triloba) , which was also first discovered in the town of Madrid.
English-wasp beetle (Neoplagionotus Marcao) , is an endangered beetle cerambycid, discovered for science a decade ago in the Madrid town of Rivas Vaciamadrid, by entomologist José Ignacio López-Colón and later summoned in other municipalities of Madrid, and Pinto, San Martin de la Vega, Valdemoro, Torres de la Alameda, Aranjuez, etc., and, in some localities in the provinces of Toledo, Badajoz, Cádiz, Huelva, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga.
Unfortunately, Conservation of this new population of Madrid is not guaranteed, and is threatened by politics of "all developable" practiced the City of Parla, which has planned the urbanization of 79% of the municipality, and wasted another chance to keep the beetle-bee and its food plant Lavatera triloba the thus accelerating the extinction of these two valuable endemic species.
In an article published in the journal Environmental Quercus, and relatábamos the dire consequences that the construction of the Hospital "Infanta Cristina" de Parla, has resulted in this valuable river bed, to be partially deforested, the first step to develop and landscaping around its recorrido.El discovery of this beetle endemic and its food plant, the Lavatera triloba -Ibero-Mauritanian endemic "in the immediate vicinity of stream Humanejos, is a good indicator of environmental quality of this unique ecosystem of the south of Madrid, to be also an extraordinary opportunity that should not be neglected, to preserve such unique taxa. We are still in time to avoid it, as long as the indifference of the political class is not prevented.
The creation of micro-botanical reserves in different areas of the Community of Madrid, as existing in Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha, is an urgent need for the conservation of numerous species of great ecological botanical and scientific, which survive threatened for various reasons, and its gloomy future. The establishment of these micro-reserves in the stream and surrounding Humanejos ensure preservation of many taxa and especially Lavatera triloba, while ensuring the preservation of certain invertebrates such as beetles, wasps English, seriously threatened extinction.
